Women Empowerment
The society believes that it is only through empowerment of women that effective development of a society is possible. The society organizes various workshops and community meetings to sensitize women on their rights and entitlements. A women’s helpline is also operated by the society to identify and conduct survey on victims of Gender Based Violence (GBV) and help them to come out of trauma and face the challenges of life. We form women SHGs to facilitate socio-economic empowerment of poor rural women through viable income generating activities. We provide training to women in various skills including entrepreneurship skills and help them to opt for self-employment. .
Besides, the organization every organized the International Women’s Day especially on the topic of Best Empowered Women and Women Awareness Programme on 8th March. Number of rural women regularly participating during the Women’s Day Progarmme. Besides, number of ladies have shown their dances, run and singing performance during the day. Resource Local Resource Persons were invited to delivering lecture on the Women’s Day.
