Health Promotion Activities
SEWA has been involved in creating Health Awareness as well as providing Health Care to its target people. In lieu of this, SEWA is regular organizing HIV/AIDS Awareness Programmes, Health Check-up Camps, Covid19 Prevention, Eye Check-up Camps, Tobacco Awareness and Drug Abuse Awareness Programmes for Youth, Women and other general masses. Besides, we are also organizing IEC activities such as Cultural Programme, Community Meetings, Street Plays, Nukkad Natak, Folk Shows etc. for a better Health Awareness. During the Past Several years, we have organized Many Awareness Generation Programmes on the topic of HIV/AIDS, RCH, Tobacco Control, Drugs in rural as well as Urban Slum Areas of different areas of Haryana State.
Besides, we are also promoting AYUSH Activities in rural areas as well as urban slum areas. For this we have organized Number of Yoga Awareness Camps, Yoga Classes, Yoga Training and also celeberating Yoga Week during every year in the month of June. To address the issue or rapid population growth, the organization conducts sensitization camps on safe family planning, safe birth control measures, etc. The organization sensitizes the communities on the importance of mother and child health with the aim to bring down the maternal and infant mortality rates in the catchment areas.
