Skill Development Trainings

Skill Development Trainings has been one of our core focus areas as we are committed to contribute to nation building by developing the skills of youth who constitute the major chunk of the India’s population. We aim to adequately skill the youth population and facilitate their participation in the economic process as lack of employability among the youth population is one of the major reasons for lack of development of the marginalized sections of the society. The organization aims to act as a catalyst in capacity building for unemployed youth from economically weaker sections of the society.

Number of underprivileged & un-organized youth were identified, counselled and provided with various need base Skill Trainings as per their choice, hobbies, aptitude and as per the market demand. We also developed linkages with industrial units and service enterprises for facilitating employment opportunities for the youth. Some of the youths were trained to develop entrepreneurship skills and opt for self-employment.

SEWA has successfully imparted number of Skill Trainings in Tailoring, Embroidery, Basic Computer, Plumbing, Electrician, Yoga Training, Music Training, Beautician, Bag Making, Housing Keeping and Hospitality etc. to un-organized Youth in District Mahendergarh of Haryana State in the age group of 15-35 year alongwith Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDP) and Life Skill Education Programmes for them. We are also providing basic trainings alongwith Raw Material and other necessary facilities to the beneficiaries free of cost. Besides we have also formed them into Skill Net Groups for Marketing Linkages and to Setup their Self-Employment/ Employment. The organization has also provided course certificate to the trainees after completion of the trainings.
